Course Dates: November 6-8, 2024 | Register Now | | Course Fee: $800
Course Description
This course, developed by Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by the FDA and delivered by a Lead Instructor for the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCQI) Certification. The successful completion of the PCQI course is one way to meet FDA FSMA requirement for a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) under regulations 21 CFR 117.180(c)(1)
We will go through the standardized curriculum which is designed to ensure the safe manufacturing, processing, packing, and holding of food products for human consumption in the United States. This regulation mandates that specific activities must be conducted by a "preventive controls qualified individual" (PCQI) who has completed training in developing and applying risk-based preventive controls.
There will be interactive class exercises and extensive review of food safety plans, specifically, the FDA approved “ Pepperjack food safety plan example”.
