CDR location and entrance: west end of Babcock Hall on 1605 Linden Drive, on the UW-Madison campus. Enter the glass doors through the lobby entrance facing the Stock Pavilion. If you enter through the Food Science (east) entrance, take the stairs or elevator to the basement level and travel through the building to the west end.
Parking Permits:
You have the option to purchase a parking pass in advance to receive prior to arriving on campus. Follow this link to connect directly with Transportation Services and fill out the online form.
You will pay for your permit online and it will be shipped to your mailing address. You will need to plan for at least 2 weeks for this process. We recommend choosing from the following (in order of closest to Babcock Hall) Lots: 36, 38, 27, 67, 20, 17, 67, 80.
Public Parking:
All parking on campus requires a permit. There is no public parking in Lot 40, the lot surrounding Babcock Hall. The closest ramp with public parking spots is Lot 36 (Observatory Drive Ramp); you will drive into the lot off Observatory Drive and exit the opposite direction on foot onto Linden Drive facing Babcock Hall. You will enter the ramp, take a ticket, and pay at departure.
Other public parking options near Babcock Hall: Lot 67 (Linden Drive Ramp), Lot 27 (Nancy Nicholas Garage), Lot 20 Ramp, Lot 17 (Engineering Drive Ramp) and Lot 80 (Union South Garage).

Hotel Shuttles:
If you are staying overnight at a hotel in Madison, check in advance to see if there is a shuttle available to take you to/from campus. Have the driver take you to the west end of Babcock Hall on UW-Madison campus or enter the address: 1605 Linden Drive. On the lodging page, we also indicate which hotels operate shuttles to/from campus.
