Carbon Accounting for Dairy & Food Manufacturing Short Course
The Carbon Accounting for Dairy & Food Manufacturing Short Course is a one-day short course designed to deal with issues of climate change air-borne waste with dairy and food processing plants. The course will begin with air emissions monitoring, sampling, and current environmental regulations. It will also introduce the methodology of life cycle assessment via definition and scope determination, boundaries, energy conversions to environmental impact, product output burden and allocation, impact assessment, and interpretation. Practical implementation is demonstrated with an optional field trip to progressive renewable energy sites held the afternoon of the day before.
This course is intended for food plant owners, private and public regulatory personnel, production supervisors, plant engineers and marketing managers involved in air emissions of dairy and food processing plants.
